Customers were happy to see a large amount of cashback in the email, then this big bank said - Sorry!

Customers paying all types of EMI during the Moratorium are now waiting for cashback. Actually, banks have started giving cashback to customers who do not take advantage of Moratorium. In this link, now customers are getting messages and emails related to cashback.

Cashback linked email

But in the meantime, customers of the country's second largest private bank ICICI Bank also received cashback related emails, which people were happy after reading. Because the bank was giving a considerable amount of cashback to customers. But there was a technical flaw behind this huge amount.

Big mess from ICICI Bank

In fact, due to a technical error, ICICI Bank sent an incorrect email to its customers, in which the loan moratorium cashback amount was 100 times more. That is, the bank informed the customers to deposit a large amount first through email. But as soon as the bank realized its mistake, it rectified its mistake and sent fresh email to the customers again. In which the correct amount was mentioned.

The happiness of customers disappeared in a few countries

In such a situation, the customers had got the chance to be happy due to the mistake of the bank earlier, but the happiness disappeared shortly after. ICICI Bank had earlier sent an email to a customer to put a cashback of 54 rupees, then correcting his mistake, the bank again sent an email of 54 paise cashback.

Apologized for saying technical error

All the customers of ICICI Bank across the country received such emails, in which the bank mistakenly sent an email of 100 times more than the correct amount. After that, I sent the right email to customers asking for technical error.

Email sent for 1945 rupees instead of 19.45 rupees

A customer received a cashback of Rs 19.45, but he was mistakenly sent an email of Rs 1945 deposited by the bank earlier. Which made the customers happy. In this way, as soon as the matter came up, the bank sent an email apologizing to all its customers for having the correct amount of credit.

Who benefits from loan moratorium?

Significantly, during the lockdown, customers who did not miss EMI between March 1 and August 31 and did not avail the loan moratorium scheme, are now getting the benefit of cashback. According to the Finance Ministry, the interest waiver scheme will cost the central government about Rs 7,000 crore.
